As you can tell my the above photo my and liners were coming to the end and needed replacing! These are 2 of my favourite shades as the go with so many different lipsticks and I think the colours are very flattering one. In the past few years, I've become so obsessed with lipliners and couldn't imagine wearing a lipstick without liner now. While I love these shades, since Christmas is just over, I couldn't really justify spending €35 for 2 lipliners. More importantly, however, I was shocked to see how many companies still test on animals today, including M.A.C and I am making a conscious effort in the future to buy cruelty free make-up and beauty products. So, I was on a mission to find dupes to my favourite lipliners from a cruelty free brand at (hopefully) a fraction of the cost. I have to say I think i did pretty good- check out what I picked up below.

M.A.C Whirl Lip Liner Dupe Whirl is described as a dirty rose/mauve shade and is one of M.A.Cs most popular liners since Kylie Jenner accredited her full lips to overdrawing with this shade. Today however, we are all aware that her new lips wasn't just thanks to overdrawing, but still this is a beautiful pinkish/natural shade and is handy for slight overdrawing. The dupe I picked up was the NYX Suede matte lip liner in soft-spoken. I picked this up in boots for €5.50 and you can get it The NYX one applies very smooth, pigmented and I think the colour is very similar. I honestly can't see a difference between these shades! Again, this Barry M liner is smooth and so pigmented, defiantly a high street hero in my eyes! Thanks for taking the time to read this post, I really hope is helps you and even saves you some coin if you are looking to pick up a liner in these shades! I have to say I was so impressed with the quality and colour of these liners, as although I do love treating myself to some more expensive makeup, If I can get the same quality for a fraction of the price I am all for it! I also believe that we should support brands that don't test on animals, as I think it is so wrong that today so many animals lead such miserable and painful lives just so brands can test make-up. I recently got this, which I found to be very helpful and will be referring to it when purchasing all future make-up. I was happy to see how many great brands such as Kat Von D, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Too faced and Charlotte Tilbury are all cruelty free!
